The New York Mets know that we all depend on freshwater for drinking, food, energy and baseball. That’s why they partner with Change the Course to balance the entire annual water footprint of Citi Field through the purchase of Water Restoration Certificates (WRCs).
How They Inspire
The Mets also inspired fans to pledge to conserve water in their everyday lives by placing a full-page ad in the Mets Magazine (April 2017 issue) promoting Change the Course. For each pledge, Change the Course restores 1,000 gallons of water.
The Impact They’re Making
Since 2017, the Mets’ contributions and fan activations allowed Change the Course to restore 52 million gallons of freshwater.
